Rural Realities, Real Solutions

Rural Realities, Real Solutions is a programme that utilizes Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the library and information center to enhance electronic learning in the community in order to:

• Improve the quality of farming and animal husbandry through teaching on smart farming techniques, dissemination of information on commodity prices,
• Highlight the value of hygiene and sanitation through electronic messages on hand washing, proper waste disposal, good sanitation, and behaviour change communication,
• Promote delivery of social welfare services for the elderly and physically handicapped through mapping, messaging and networking,
• Enhance e-governance that enables community members to easily access key government services and information,
• Develop and promote village eco-tourism that can generate income.
